Update from Principal Brendan 2nd March 2022
Wed Mar 02 02:56pmKia Ora Reporoa College Whanau
We understand how difficult it has been for many in our community in this last week or so. We are aware of more cases in the school each day along with an increase of close contacts among whānau.
To date we have positive cases in Years 8, 9,10 and 12 at Reporoa College. We also have a small number of our whanau isolating due to caregivers or siblings being confirmed cases.
We ask that if you or a whanau member test positive for Covid that you notify the school ASAP. For those who are unable to attend due to having to isolate we will be making available online learning, for those who do not have access to devices please contact the school office.
We will continue to monitor each day the feasibility of maintaining a normal school programme. The vast majority of staff are still attending, and for continuity of learning, we believe that remaining open is currently the best option.
The school will continue to follow all public health measures and ensure all hygiene procedures are in place. Please reiterate to your children the importance of wearing masks while on the school buses and in the classroom.
A reminder of what to do:
You and your whānau should watch for symptoms.
If any develop, get tested immediately.
Stay at home until you receive the result.
A reminder of Symptoms of COVID-19:
A new or worsening cough; and/or
Sneezing and runny nose; and/or
A fever; and/or

Sore throat; and/or
